Serpent River

I really wanted to create a piece that showcased a love-hate relationship between masculine and feminine energies. My interpretation is loosely based on her struggle or lack thereof of being encased by outside energies. Depending on your view you can either see her embracing the snake this masculine energy in a more harmonious way lifting her or you can see a snake wrapping her in a way that can overpower her causing her to sink into the river. Choosing a gold snake to symbolize its weighted power. Choosing glorious shades of purple to symbolize royalty.
